The Alumni Classic was created by former Arizona State Men’s Basketball player Lester Neal and former University of Arizona Women’s Basketball Player Apryl Garnett-Neal.  The objective is to provide a platform that will allow former students and former student athletes to be involved in community efforts.  The Alumni Classic will provide an athletic event featuring some of the most memorable athletes from two rival schools to compete in a friendly competition that supports various local causes, the community and provide resources to the youth, as well as, assist former student athletes in completing their degree.

The Alumni Classic is truly a unique event where former athletes from years past can re-unite and compete for “new” bragging rights. Fans will be able to see athletes from one decade compete and play along side athletes from another decade.

The Alumni, local business leaders and partners who are affiliated with ASU and U of A will also have a distinctive opportunity to renew friendships and forge new business relationships as they benefit from one of the most anticipated events of the 2009 calendar.
